Augusta - 10th Artists Along the Katy Trail

Today, I painted with several local artists in Augusta. I completed 2 paintings! The speed of plein air painting is truly astounding. I can spend days (and even weeks) in studio on a painting, but outside, the need is for completion before the light changes.

Webster Plein Air 2010

A very fun day painting outside, with an excellent artist reception. There were many kind people at the show, all with lovely comments about my work.

The winning artists all did a great job, including 3 children - ages 8, 12 and 13. It was a very encouraging show for young people.

Today was a free paint day - meaning there was not a specific event.

I drove out to the Brewery and set up my easel on a path through the garden and painted both of these today. I think they are fantastic and I will post better pics (Not behind glass) tomorrow.
